Where your video goes

When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your device. Decoding, watermark removal and re-encoding all run in a background worker inside the same browser tab, using the browser’s built-in WebCodecs video engine. There is no upload endpoint and no server-side processing.

The site’s Content Security Policy only allows the page to connect to this website and to Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, the analytics services described below; the browser blocks everything else. To check for yourself, open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and process a video: no request carries your file.

Memory and cleanup

Frames are processed one at a time and released as soon as they’re encoded. The background worker shuts down when it finishes or when you cancel. Temporary preview links are released when you open another video or leave the page.

The finished video is kept in your browser’s memory until you download it or close the tab.

Your original file

Your original file is never modified. Processing always creates a new, separate video.

Offline copy

In browsers that support it, the site saves its own pages and code in your browser’s cache so the editor works offline. Your videos are never added to that cache: they’re opened as temporary local files that the cache can’t see. You can clear it any time from your browser’s site settings.

Accounts and analytics

There are no accounts and no database of users or videos.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, plus technical details such as browser, device type and approximate location, and can replay a visit as a reconstruction of the page. It uses cookies to recognise repeat visits. Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We use Google Analytics to measure visits: pages viewed, how visitors arrived, device, browser and approximate location, plus product events such as a video being processed or downloaded, which include only the method and output format chosen. It uses cookies, and Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy; you can also opt out with Google’s browser add-on.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, adds Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures how fast pages load. It doesn’t use cookies. Cloudflare processes this data under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

None of these services ever receives your video: videos are opened as local files they can’t read, and no video frames are captured. File names are masked from Clarity’s recordings and never sent to Google Analytics. Clarity and Google Analytics don’t load at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
